Soccer Game Preview: Los Angeles CES vs. Venice

The Los Angeles CES Unicorns are taking a road trip to challenge the Venice Gondoliers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Los Angeles CES sitting on three straight wins and Venice on four.

Last Friday, it was close, but Los Angeles CES sidestepped Fairfax for a 3-2 victory.

Angie Contreras and Riley Kim scored all three of Los Angeles CES's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Venice kept a clean sheet against University on Monday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Gondoliers, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Venice is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six matchups. As for Los Angeles CES, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Los Angeles CES came up short against Venice in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Los Angeles CES avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
