JJ Gardner turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two earned runs surrendered on Wednesday. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.
