Softball Recap: Monroe City Comes Up Short

Monroe City couldn't beat Clopton on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Panthers took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Monroe City and nudges their season record down to 7-4. As for Clopton, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Coming up, Monroe City will head out on the road to face off against North Shelby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clopton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Van-Far at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
