It's playoff time, and Pace Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Walnut Grove Warriors with a sharp 9-1 win on Monday. Considering the Knights have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Pace Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Walnut Grove, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Pace Academy by a score of 9-8 later that day.
