Baseball Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss

Lanier lost against Johns Creek back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lanier Longhorns fell 6-1 to the Johns Creek Gladiators.

Lanier saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicholas Sampona, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Lanier dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Johns Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

While Lanier had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
