Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marquez). Their defense stepped up to hand the Sotomayor Wolves a 10-0 shutout on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Gladiators as they're now sitting on six straight.

Marquez's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Sotomayor, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Coming up, Marquez will welcome Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marquez is facing Elizabeth at the right time seeing as Elizabeth is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Sotomayor, they will square off against Maywood CES at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
