The Mountain View Academy Mustangs will take on the DCP Alum Rock Lobos at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Mountain View Academy: 15.2, DCP Alum Rock: 21.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Mountain View Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat KIPP San Jose Collegiate 54-11 at home. That looming 54-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mountain View Academy yet this season.

Mountain View Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Audrey Mackey led the charge by scoring 15 points along with two steals. Mackey is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Iva Jayme, who scored nine points along with five steals.

DCP Alum Rock posted their closest win yet this season on Monday. They skirted past El Primero 30-27.

DCP Alum Rock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Estrella Sanchez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Sanchez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Munguia, who scored six points along with six steals.

Mountain View Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for DCP Alum Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Thursday's game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Kayla Dhumad and Sanchez. Dhumad has been dynamite this season: she has averaged 15.4 points, 3.8 steals, and 1.6 blocks. For her part, Sanchez has averaged 8.5 points, 7.2 steals, and 5.2 rebounds.
