After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Dexter, Hatch Valley was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cobre Indians 45-12. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won three matchups by 29  points or more  so far this season.
 David Dumas went supernova, rushing for 114 yards and a pair of  scores on only ten carries. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in October of 2024.
 Dumas was just one part of a punishing run game: Hatch Valley was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 301  rushing yards. The Bears are  a perfect 3-0 when  they've run for more than 200 yards.
Hatch Valley is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 35.8 points over those games. As for Cobre,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hatch Valley will  face off against  rival New Mexico Military Institute  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Cobre is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Dexter  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
