Basketball Recap: Oakland Charter Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Oakland Charter was not quite Leadership's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 37-29 to Leadership. The Matadors were not able to make up for their loss to Leadership from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Oakland Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Leadership, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland Charter will challenge Golden State Prep at 4:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Leadership, they will square off against Averroes at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
