Softball Recap: Dougherty Comes Up Short

After flying high against Calhoun County on Wednesday, Dougherty came back down to earth. The Trojans came up short against the Deerfield-Windsor Knights on Thursday, falling 11-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Sasha Hill was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Dougherty's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Deerfield-Windsor, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dougherty will venture away from home to face off against Calhoun County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Deerfield-Windsor, they will face off against Southland Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
