Basketball Recap: High Tech NC Takes a Loss

High Tech NC and Coronado squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but High Tech NC had to settle for second. They lost 38-17 to the Coronado Islanders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raptor have suffered since January 8th.

Selena Herrera continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Coronado, putting up 19 points and four steals. That's the most steals Herrera has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gabby Fichter, who had seven points.

High Tech NC's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Coronado, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

High Tech NC will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 4:00 p.m. on March 13th. As for Coronado, they will take on Del Lago Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
