Basketball Recap: Tehachapi Comes Up Short

Tehachapi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sonora Wildcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Wildcats are ranked 1170th).

Tehachapi's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Sonora, they moved to 3-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tehachapi will welcome East Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Sonora, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverbank at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
