Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Prairie Gophers vs. Eastern Comets

The Clinton Prairie Gophers will head out to square off against the Eastern Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton Prairie will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Clinton Prairie proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Delphi Community 4-3.

Jackson Price was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Eastern had just enough and edged out Rossville 7-5 on Wednesday.

Clinton Prairie's record now sits at 19-6. As for Eastern, their record is now 19-8.

Clinton Prairie came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastern in their previous matchup last Tuesday, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gophers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
