After a string of three wins, Jackson County's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Flowery Branch Falcons by a score of 7-6.

Jackson County's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Flowery Branch, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Jackson County will venture away from home to square off against White County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Flowery Branch, they will take on Jackson in a tournament on Friday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
