Football Recap: Northern Valley Huskies vs. Crawford Rams
Northern Valley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They received a blow on Saturday as they fell 67-51 to the Crawford Rams. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 57-34 to the Rams when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Crawford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Homan led the charge by throwing for 366 yards and seven TDs while picking up 15.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 75 yards and one score on only six carries. Homan has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Cody Holmgren was in the mix as well, providing Crawford with two touchdowns.
The win got Crawford back to even at 1-1.
Looking ahead, Northern Valley will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Chase on Friday.
