Baseball Game Preview: John Hancock Academy Rebels vs. David Emanuel Academy Eagles

John Hancock Academy hasn't had much luck against David Emanuel Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

John Hancock Academy came into their game two weeks ago off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to Covenant Academy.

John Hancock Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Letson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, David Emanuel Academy came up short against Pinewood Christian on Monday, falling 15-1.

David Emanuel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for John Hancock Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. John Hancock Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like David Emanuel Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

John Hancock Academy might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from David Emanuel Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
