Football Game Preview: Badin Rams vs. Archbishop Alter Knights

Badin has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Archbishop Alter has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Rams will welcome the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Badin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Archbishop Alter likes a good challenge.

Badin is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Carroll: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rams blew the Patriots out of the water with a 55-6 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-0.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Alter got themselves on the board against Archbishop McNicholas on Friday, but Archbishop McNicholas never followed suit. They walked away with a 12-0 win over the Rockets.

Archbishop Alter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Badin's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Archbishop Alter, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Badin skirted past Archbishop Alter 13-10 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
