Mike Prudejr posted a new career-high in hits on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Kankakee: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-21 otherwise.

Prudejr's strong effort led Kankakee over Thornton and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Kays are a perfect 10-0 against the Wildcats going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
