Taylor County's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They never let the Rutland Hurricanes get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Taylor County's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rutland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor County will take on Coahulla Creek at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rutland, they will challenge Morgan County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Hurricanes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
