Newman Catholic had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Nashua-Plainfield on Friday. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Huskies a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Newman Catholic's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Nashua-Plainfield, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Newman Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Madrid on the 21st. As for Nashua-Plainfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
