Soccer Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Waterloo was not quite Collinsville's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Kahoks by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Waterloo came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Collinsville are ranked 195th).

Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2-2. As for Collinsville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9-1.

As for Collinsville, they will venture away from home to face off against Belleville East at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Collinsville are facing Belleville East at the right time seeing as Belleville East are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
