Softball Recap: Metter's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Monday just wasn't the day for Metter's offense. They came up short against the Wayne County Yellow Jackets on Monday, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Metter's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Wayne County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Metter will face off against Jenkins County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wayne County, they will square off against Citizens Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Yellow Jackets 3.2, the Patriots 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
