Recap: Clarion Area Bobcats vs. Moniteau Warriors
The Clarion Area Bobcats lost to the Moniteau Warriors back in December of 2023, but the Clarion Area Bobcats didn't allow the Moniteau Warriors the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Clarion Area secured a 52-47 W over Moniteau. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Clarion Area.
Clarion Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marley Kline, who scored 12 points. Kline's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Taylor Alston, who scored 11 points.
Clarion Area pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Moniteau, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-4 record this season.
Clarion Area will head out on the road to challenge Keystone at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Moniteau won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Neshannock at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Neshannock is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
