Basketball Recap: Union Area Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Union Area won the last time they faced Aquinas Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Union Area Scotties took down the Aquinas Academy Crusaders 56-37. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scotties.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lucy Keverline, who posted five points. Those five points gave Keverline a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tess Duer, who had five points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Union Area pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Aquinas Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
