The Academy of the Holy Cross strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Richard Montgomery Rockets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tartans have posted since October 24, 2024.

Ana Woods paced The Academy of the Holy Cross' offense, picking up 14 kills. Woods got some help from Vivian Blue and her 19 assists. Woods was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Richard Montgomery saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ellyn Kim had six digs and two aces.

The Academy of the Holy Cross' victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Richard Montgomery, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Academy of the Holy Cross will challenge St. Mary's Ryken at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
