Basketball Game Preview: Ridgway Elker vs. Johnsonburg Rams

The Ridgway Elker will take on the Johnsonburg Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgway has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 11.

On Monday, Ridgway had to suffer through a 53-12 loss at the hands of DuBois Central Catholic. The game marked the Elker's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Johnsonburg can bid farewell to their 14-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 50-40 victory over Smethport. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Ridgway's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Johnsonburg, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.

Everything came up roses for Ridgway against Johnsonburg in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 56-22 victory. Will Ridgway repeat their success, or does Johnsonburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
