Bellevue East dropped down to 19-9 on Monday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Millard North Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftains of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Peyton Luderman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

As for Millard North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games.

On Millard North's side, Jadyn Pokorny was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Bellevue East wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-1 win against Omaha North on the 30th. As for Millard North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 23-0 victory against Omaha Westside on the 30th.
