Baseball Game Preview: West Hall Spartans vs. Oconee County Warriors

For the second straight game, West Hall will face off against Oconee County. West Hall will be playing at home against Oconee County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. West Hall has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Hall came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Oconee County, falling 11-5. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Brett Sturm and Marcus Pugh did some serious damage despite the final result: Sturm scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Pugh scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

West Hall's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Oconee County, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
