Basketball Recap: Taylor Kopecky's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Raymond Central over Milford

Raymond Central lost against Milford back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs fell 61-54 to the Eagles.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taylor Kopecky, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie TenEyck, who had ten points and five boards.

Milford found their leader in sophomore Shayla Rautenberg, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Miller, who put up ten points and eight boards.

Raymond Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Milford, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raymond Central will host Wilber-Clatonia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milford, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Thayer Central at 6:00 p.m.
