There's no place like home for Mary Persons, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Spalding Jaguars on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win snapped Mary Persons' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-8 record. As for Spalding, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.

Coming up, Mary Persons will be playing at home against Veterans at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.9, the Warhawks 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Spalding, they will venture away from home to challenge Crawford County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
