Baseball Recap: North Georgia HomeSchool Gets the Win

North Georgia HomeSchool was forced to take a big defeat against they on Friday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Peoples Baptist Academy Knights 13-12. This was a revenge game for the Tribe: when they faced off against the Knights on Friday, they had to take a 15-5 loss.

Kirk Dotson made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for North Georgia HomeSchool: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-17-1 otherwise.

In other batting news, Eli Dill was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. He is becoming a predictor of North Georgia HomeSchool's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-1 (and 2-16-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew McWhorter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

North Georgia HomeSchool's record is now 6-17-1. As for Peoples Baptist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Coming up, North Georgia HomeSchool will look to defend their home field on Friday against Holy Spirit Prep at 3:00 p.m. The last four games the Cougars have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Peoples Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
