Northgate's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Lovejoy Wildcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Savannah Chitnis made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Laney Oswalt, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Deraney, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Northgate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lovejoy only posted an OBP of .250.

Northgate's record is now 19-6. As for Lovejoy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.

Coming up, Northgate will face off against Whitewater at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lovejoy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
