Volleyball Recap: Garrett Comes Up Short

Garrett and Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Garrett had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cadets, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Railroaders have suffered since September 25th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-7.

Amelia Kesterke paced Garrett's offense, picking up seven kills. Kesterke got some help from Rilyn Flotow and her 13 assists. Kaelynn York controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Garrett has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-9 record this season. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Garrett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger on the 18th.
