Baseball Game Preview: Assumption Royals vs. Tomahawk Hatchets

The Assumption Royals will head out on the road to square off against the Tomahawk Hatchets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Assumption is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Assumption came out on top against Weyauwega-Fremont on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Royals were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Warhawks. The win was some much needed relief for the Royals as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Camden Martin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxten Steinert, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, Tomahawk hadn't done well against Northland Pines recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Hatchets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Eagles.

Assumption's record is now 9-10. As for Tomahawk, their record now sits at 7-9.
