Westview came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Millard South, but Aubrey Carder wouldn't allow it. The Millard South Patriots secured a 53-48 W over the Westview Wolverines on Friday thanks in part to Carder, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Abbi Durow, who had 11 points and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game.

Cardy King and Marion Henderson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. King shot 56% from the field to rack up 15 points and six boards, while Henderson earned 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Kellner, who scored five points.

Millard South has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. Westview's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-4.

Millard South and Westview are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Millard South will square off against Millard West at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Millard West will roll in looking for their 23rd straight win, something Millard South surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westview, they will take on Lincoln North Star at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
