Basketball Recap: Righetti Takes a Loss

Righetti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Luis Obispo Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Tigers are ranked 41st).

Righetti's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for San Luis Obispo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

Righetti will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Corcoran at 4:00 p.m. on December 26th. As for San Luis Obispo, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the San Luis Obispo Tigers take on the Pioneer Valley Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
