Baseball Recap: Chapel Hill Starts off Right with Win over Fayette County

Chapel Hill had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Fayette County Tigers by a score of 11-7 on Tuesday.

Jayden Lawrence looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Chapel Hill let Paul Glenn III and Kasaan Willis loose on the outfield. Glenn III scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Willis went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Mykah Pelzer was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Chapel Hill has already played their next game (against McEachern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fayette County will welcome Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
