Basketball Game Preview: Gridley Bulldogs vs. Yreka Miners

The Gridley Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Yreka Miners at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Gridley was able to grind out a solid victory over Oroville, taking the game 58-47.

It was another big night for Brook Marr, who almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delanie Cloyd, who posted five points.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Yreka beat Anderson 57-51 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Miners.

Gridley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-16 record this season. As for Yreka, the win got them back to even at 14-14.

Gridley strolled past Yreka in their previous matchup back in February of 2019 by a score of 56-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gridley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
