Soccer Game Preview: Central DeWitt vs. Bettendorf

Central DeWitt will head out to square off against the Bettendorf Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Central DeWitt was able to grind out a solid victory over Assumption, taking the game 3-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bettendorf). They blew past Davenport West 11-2 on Thursday. Bettendorf might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Bettendorf is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four matches. As for Central DeWitt, their record now sits at 8-4-3.

Central DeWitt suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Bettendorf when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Central DeWitt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
