The Bartram Trail Bears will take on the Buchholz Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bartram Trail had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Fleming Island on Thursday. Bartram Trail put the hurt on Fleming Island with a sharp 9-3 victory. That six run margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.
Coleson Baum looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Bartram Trail: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most two hits, but 4-8 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Buchholz put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 8-3 win over North Marion.
Wyatt Clarke looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 14 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kai So was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zac Brown, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Buchholz pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bartram Trail, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.
Bartram Trail came up short against Buchholz in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 5-2. Will Bartram Trail have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
