Soccer Recap: Bonita Comes Up Short

After flying high against Diamond Bar last Tuesday, Bonita came back down to earth. The Bonita Bearcats fell just short of the Claremont Wolfpack by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Wolfpack are ranked 73rd).

Bonita's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-4. As for Claremont, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonita will host Walnut at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Claremont, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Glendora at 5:00 p.m.
