Soccer Game Preview: Habersham Central vs. Peachtree Ridge

The Habersham Central Raiders will challenge the Peachtree Ridge Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Habersham Central is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.

Habersham Central's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Rabun County. Habersham Central might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Peachtree Ridge made easy work of Northview on Tuesday and carried off a 5-2 win. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Peachtree Ridge's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Northview are ranked 213th).

Peachtree Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matchups. As for Habersham Central, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
