Soccer Recap: Downey Victorious

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Downey brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They never let the Bell Eagles onto the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Downey's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6-2. As for Bell, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6-3.

Downey will venture away from home to challenge Huntington Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Huntington Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season. As for Bell, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Huntington Park at 4:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
