After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clayton Valley Charter, American was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Newark Memorial Cougars. Considering the Eagles have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Abigail Peterman and Yaalini Gokul scored all three of American's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

American has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those six contests. As for Newark Memorial, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4-2.

American wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Kennedy on the 30th. Newark Memorial has also already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Washington on the 30th.
