Softball Recap: Brunswick Comes Up Short

Brunswick had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 11-13 to make it four. They came up short against the Greenbrier Wolfpack, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Tuesday.

As for Greenbrier, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Considering they have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Greenbrier's part, Josie McQuillan was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI McQuillan has posted over her last nine contests. Harlem Waul was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Brunswick nor Greenbrier have any future games scheduled.
