Makenna Crosson and
Chayse Courtney earned all-tournament honors for Mitty, which has reached the Open Division state final each of the past two seasons. The last time the Monarchs won a state title was 2017 under coach Bret Almanzan-Cezar, who now coaches at
Rocklin (Calif.), which could be among a few who could pose a challenge to Mitty to come out of Northern California.

Perhaps no one in the country has played a tougher schedule than Sierra Canyon (33-3), which has 11 wins over teams that have been ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 this season. The three losses are to No. 1

Redondo Union (Redondo Beach) in the Ann Kang semis and No. 4
Marymount (Los Angeles) in the Durango Fall Classic final.
The Trailblazers have one final ranked showdown before the postseason. That comes Tuesday on the road against league foe Marymount.
