Recap: Eagle Rock Eagles vs. Marshall Barristers
The Eagle Rock Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 61-28 win over Marshall. Given Eagle Rock's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Marshall is ranked 745th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Marshall lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeda Taylor. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and seven blocks. Taylor is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
The win makes it two in a row for Eagle Rock and bumps their season record up to 11-5. As for Marshall, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Eagle Rock will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. As for Marshall, they will head out on the road to face off against Bravo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Bravo is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
