Baseball Recap: Grovetown's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Grovetown scored first but ultimately less than Heritage in their contest on Wednesday. They fell 7-3 to the Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Tuesday.

Grovetown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Baker, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Grovetown's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-15. As for Heritage, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

While Grovetown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
