There's no place like home for Evans, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lakeside Panthers 10-9. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Kimariya Hinton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August. Brittney Smith was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Evans' victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-9. As for Lakeside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Evans will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lakeside: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
