Soccer Recap: Thomson Triumphs

After failing to score in their last contest, Thomson made sure to put some goals up on the board against Laney on Tuesday. They blew past the Laney Wildcats 9-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Thomson's offense was hitting Laney from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Johnny Monay Carrillo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Thomson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Laney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Thomson will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Glenn Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laney, they will head out on the road to take on Josey at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Josey will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Laney surely won't give up without a fight.
